I am a commercial property solicitor and set up Cheltenham Ladies in Property (CLIP) in October 2008. Having attended a few local networking events during the previous year, I decided that it was time for Cheltenham and surrounding area to have a networking group for ladies involved in property. I spoke to a few fellow professionals and realised that I was not alone in this. I therefore set up CLIP with a view to providing a forum for professional women in property to exchange views, network, gain knowledge and create business opportunities.
On the social side, I aim to organise quarterly networking lunches, which will include a "hot topic" seminar at least once a year and if there is sufficient interest, I will also arrange an “out of work” social event. Initially lunches were held on a Friday, but it soon became clear that Thursday was a better day for many of you, so unless I have an overwhelming request to change this, I will continue to organise lunches on a Thursday. I also held an afternoon tea event in Autumn 2009, which many of you expressed an interest in. It made a nice change and the feedback was all positive, so I hope to hold another one later this year.
The Cheltenham Ladies in Property networking group is free to join and is aimed at women, over 21, who are Surveyors, Agents, Architects, Planning Consultants, Bankers, Solicitors, working in Property Management; or who own a property portfolio.
If you are interested in becoming a member, please complete the membership form. Please note, that in order to attend events, you must first become a member. I would also be pleased to hear from anyone via the feedback form with any comments or suggestions.
